Lucid Dreaming and Sex
What do Franz
Mesmer, Aleister Crowley, Wilhelm Reich, Paschal Beverly Randolph, Ida Craddock,
Maria de Naglowska have in common? They promoted sex magic. Several of them had
their lives ruined because of it.
So, you’ve
probably heard of Lucid Dreaming. You probably heard it promoted because, well,
sex is pretty great in the dream state. A thing about the dream state many
people aren’t aware of is that the body is physically aroused when you’re in
REM stage. In fact, one of the tests to know whether or not a male is
experiencing ED due to a physiological reason is a sleep study. Basically, they
put a paper sleeve over the penis, and if it’s broken in the morning, he had
erection while dreaming. Men and women are aroused in sleep, it’s just more
noticeable in men. There is a place between dreaming and waking, though that is
equally charged with sexual energy. Sleep Paralysis is an interesting place to
be, provided you're not freaked out about the situation. When people sleep, the
brain basically throws a switch that disconnects the brain from the body, in
order to prevent us from hurting ourselves when we dream. Sometimes people will
awaken to find they can’t move, they can’t scream-this is sleep paralysis,
where the brain woke up before it threw the switch to unlock the body.
If you
have never experienced sleep paralysis, and you don’t know what it is, and you
wake up in it- this can be a scary thing. This is also where you can learn some
things about yourself. One, you are not your brain. If in this state you panic,
and try to force yourself to snap out of it, your brain will interpret your
reaction as “OMG, you’re having a nightmare!” and lock down on that switch to
make sure your body doesn’t run around like a chicken with its head cut off.
The more you fight it, the more your brain holds down on the lock out. Also,
you will learn about some of your latent sexual fears that you probably didn’t
even know you had. Many people report feel like they are being raped when in
sleep paralysis. If you panic, and you ask yourself, ‘why can’t I move’ your
brain will supply you with an answer: ‘oh, you’re being held down by a succubus…’
and tadaa… you suddenly see a succubus. Or aliens. I am not saying you aren’t
really being abducted by aliens… I believe there are people truly abducted by
aliens, however, sleep paralysis can provide the same experience. If you want
to experiment, next time you are in Sleep Paralysis, instead of asking ‘why can’t
I move,’ say to yourself, ‘oh, my ghost girlfriend is on top of me… and you
will suddenly see ghost girlfriend. Of course, if you are able to keep from panicking,
you could also use Sleep Paralysis to go into a Lucid Dream. If you never had a
Lucid Dream, it is one of those things I highly recommend.
There is
a Lucid Dreaming technique you will probably not find in a book on Lucid
Dreaming. ‘Eroto-comatose lucidity.’ This is considered to be a magic ritual,
and it requires two or more people. The subject, the person wanting to
experience an altered state of consciousness, which could be a Lucid Dream, or
something between sleep paralysis and lucid dreaming, ( I am open to
alternative explanations, and I think Carl Jung was approaching this with his ‘Active
Imagination technique,) needs to have at least one willing, preferably
knowledgeable, participant. Three is ideal, in case the ‘aid’ were to get
tired. The goal for the ‘helpers’ is to sexually exhaust the subject through
arousal and edging, preferably without the subject having an orgasm, or at
least delaying it to the point when they arrive, they go right to sleep. Once
the subject is asleep, the aid continues to provide stimulus, sufficient to
keep the sexual arousal going, but not enough to bring them full awake. The
goal is to put them in that state between waking conscious and REM sleep, or
get them to REM sleep and interact with them without bringing them back to full
waking conscious. If you know your subject is dreaming, it is possible to
connect with them in the dream state. Your ears never turn off. The subject can
hear you.
This
process is probably the easiest way to have a transpersonal experience. It is
also one of the processes that has been suppressed. There are numerous
explanations for why it is suppressed, none of them I agree with. One of my favorite
books discussing the subject of ‘forbidden’ exploration of sexuality is ‘Psychic
Sexuality,’ by Ingo Swann. If you don’t know Ingo, you need to find his books.
They’re interesting. You can find a free copy of ‘Psychic Sexuality’ online. Ingo was a psychic spy working for the US government in Project Stargate.
He was a real psychic. He really did work for the government, as a counter spy
program to the Russian psychic program, in the 1970s. The movie ‘Men Who Stare
at Goats’ was basically about this program. There is always more going on than
what society tells you is going on. I am an explorer. I like knowing things,
but the things I like to discover, they’re available to you as well. This isn’t
magic, well, yeah, it is, but everyone can do this. Even you.
