Camera etiquette

I am guilty of chasing 'click' bate. Media, like MSN new is guilty of proliferating "SHIT."

I am going to give you the link, because some of you will be curious. And maybe there is no harm done. BUT SERIOUSLY, there is harm done. If you can accept it without seeing it, YAY you. If you have to see it to recognize your own humanity, well- go ahead.

And remember, cameras are everywhere now. You're not allowed to be human. Playful. Silly. You're not allowed to make mistakes. Someone will see you and laugh at you, call you stupid, make fun of you, maybe even profit off you falling and hurting yourself in one of the famous 'fail' youtubes.

Monique Hamilton caught someone on tape being human- and then shamed her. She shamed her, laughed her, and then didn't just leave it there, she uploaded it. It's one thing if you got being silly and feel embarrassed, but then it's a whole nother thing to share that- it's worse than gossip. If a guy did this, it would be tantamount to harassment.

Yes, it's an innocent little thing. Someone actually had a moment of joy and decided to be free. And someone captured it, laughed, and put chains on the spirit of a human being. Maybe the person caught is tougher spirit than I imagine. I can imagine some tough ass people that could blow that off. I can imagine some people that can be so overwhelmed by embarrassment they might kill themselves. I actually work in mental health and know how delicate some people are. Maybe Monique never has a silly moment. Maybe she will never be uploaded and laughed at. Maybe the dancing girl will recover and say fuck you Monique, and dance again. I know some people that would have pulled out shot you because you filming them without their permission.

People have the right to be free. People don't have the right to film just whatever they want and upload it. But let's say, just for the sake of argument, these two people were friends and they agreed to it- and that this was funny to both of them- that may actually be the case. But then you have MSN click baiting it for idiots like me- and I am really a super idiot- I do stupid things all the time- but guess what, you upload this and give this title, and now a hundred fools who are more idiotic than me go out and try to catch people doing stupid things so they, too, can be Monique famous.

Don't believe me? How many people made lick the ice cream videos after that one girl was arrested after her video went viral?

Yeah, maybe this is funny, lighthearted, embarrass people fun. Or maybe this is evidence we need more etiquette when it comes to cameras. I did not see this as funny. I saw this as trying to benefit off the pain of another human being. That's unver-uncool, and you know it is or you would made public comments available. You would have had a million people leaving, fuck you comments for being so uncool; so not only are you uncool, you're cowards! Put something like that up and leave room for the comments. That's not cool, Monique. That's super not cool, MSN. Fuck both of you.
